Christmas Main Courses: Fillet of Beef in Pastry - Delia's Classic Christmas

This year's Christmas dinner is for 9 and I am struggling to find a delicious main course that is stunning and at the same time manageable.
An option I am considering is Fillet of Beef in Pastry. Similar to Beef Wellington but with mushrooms instead of paté.
